“Combatants bear witness to all aspects of the human condition. It reveals the darkest parts of the human soul while residing side by side with the most exalted characteristics: nobility, honor, valor, and God’s grace.”
This week’s WorkingNation #WeeklyChangemaker is former Staff Sgt. and Medal of Honor recipient David Bellavia. In June of this year, Bellavia became the first living person to receive the Medal of Honor — the nation’s highest recognition for valor in combat — for his actions in the Iraq War.
Bellavia left the Army in 2005 and now focuses on helping the Army find the next generation of soldiers. He is a remarkable Veteran hero, and we honor him today and thank him for his unyielding service.
