“What really helped me understand the institution in a way that I otherwise wouldn’t have realized – is the talent. The people really cared. They wanted to invest in you and teach you what they knew. There is nothing like that – that I think you’ll find elsewhere.”
Deverill now finds himself in a position to help other veterans. “You look at the plight of a lot of our veterans that have not made the transition well or are homeless, etc. Your heart goes out to them.”
“As a veteran who had an opportunity to get to retirement and be blessed in many ways, you want to give back. I think the ways that you do that is to provide opportunity.”
