People coming out of military life can be great assets to their local communities, says Chuck Bunch, military relationship director, military affairs with USAA.
WorkingNation sat down with Bunch in Atlanta at the Warrior Community Integration Symposium – an annual convening of veteran-serving organizations hosted by America’s Warrior Partnership.
Bunch says there are a variety of reasons employers would want to hire veterans and military spouses. “I think a lot of it has to do with the great engagement. For community leaders to understand what that individual has to offer, I think makes it very attractive. That engagement and maybe realizing their backgrounds may look like a certain thing on paper, but when they start explaining it and help provide better edification, it’s kind of like an ‘aha’ moment. It’s really nice to see.”
