Avis Proctor Ed.D. is president of Harper College, a community college serving more than 35,000 students annually in the Chicago area.
She says her college is examining the full spectrum of those served by the college, while addressing an equitable economic recovery. Proctor adds that Harper College is providing students with skills to work in an automated world. “We know automation is something that is disrupting several industries, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s replacing humans altogether. We know sometimes it’s enhancing the work that they do.”
WorkingNation interviewed Proctor for #WorkingNationOverheard as a media partner with the JFF Horizons 2020 conference. You can watch all the interviews on our YouTube channel.
