Archie’s story is more common than you might think

As part of our WorkingNation series Age in America with partner Scripps News, we brought together a panel of experts to explore the causes of ageism which can prevent older and midcareer workers from getting promotions or getting hired in the first place.

In this clip from our one-hour TV special on Scripps News, Breaking Barriers: Embracing Age in the Workforce, we share the story of Archie, the victim of age discrimination in the workplace. It started with subtle comments from his employer and escalated into a a toxic situation that the only way out was to quit his job. Unfortunately, it is a situation that continues to play out in workplaces across the country.
